SOP: Assigning a Phone Number to an AI Assistant on GoHighLevel

Objective

To provide a clear, step-by-step guide for team members to effectively purchase and assign a phone number to an AI assistant within the GoHighLevel platform, ensuring smooth operation for making phone calls.

Key Steps

  1. Log In to GoHighLevel

    • Access the GoHighLevel platform using your credentials.

    • Ensure you are logged into the correct sub-account.

  2. Navigate to AI Assistant Section

    • From the dashboard, locate and click on the "AI Assistant" sub-menu.

    • Select the "Numbers" option within this section.

  3. Purchase a Phone Number

    • Click on the "Buy a Number" button.

    • Enter your desired area code (e.g., 207).

    • Confirm your selection by clicking the "Buy a Number" button again.

    • Wait for the confirmation that the number has been successfully purchased.

  4. Assign the Phone Number to an AI Assistant

    • Locate the newly purchased number in the list.

    • Click on the three dots next to the number to access the edit options.

    • Select the AI assistant you wish to assign this number to for making phone calls.

    • Save your changes to finalize the assignment.

  5. Confirmation

    • Verify that the phone number is now associated with the correct AI assistant.

    • Ensure that the assistant is ready to make phone calls using the assigned number.

Cautionary Notes

  • Double-check that you are in the correct sub-account before purchasing a number to avoid unnecessary charges or complications.

  • Ensure the area code you choose is valid and corresponds to your target audience or location.

  • Be careful when selecting the AI assistant to avoid assigning the number to the wrong agent.
